Sitronics Group to present electric robotic ships this year

MOSCOW, April 8. /TASS/. Sitronics Group plans to present an electric vessel with the autonomous navigation system this year, President of the company Nikolay Pozhidaev told TASS.

"We hope we will already use these [autonomous ship navigation] systems on board of our electric vessels this summer," the chief executive said.

The launch of two ferries in the autonomous mode last year confirmed operability of the technology, Pozhidaev noted. "We made sure that it works. The next step should be implemented further," he added.
