MINSK, March 11. /TASS/. Belarusian foreign trade in goods and services edged up by 0.4% in January 2024 year-on-year to $7.23 bln, with surplus account having reached $98.5 mln, the National Bank of the republic reported.
Foreign trade in goods rose by 1.1% in the reporting period to $6.11 bln. Belarusian exports of goods added 2.1% in January to $3.03 bln, while imports increased by 0.2% to $3.15 bln. Deficit of trade in goods amounted to $125 mln.
Foreign trade in services fell by 3.4% in January 2024 year-on-year to $1.09 bln. Exports of services decreased by 3.8% to $639 mln, while imports went down by 2.7% to $415.5 mln. Surplus of trade in services totaled $223.5 mln.
