Three Russian companies permitted to export pork to China

The regulator said earlier that it expected registration of Russian pork enterprises for supply of pork to China after the Chinese New Year

MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Three Russian enterprises producing pork have been permitted to export pork products to China starting February 28, 2024, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) said in a statement.

"The General Administration of Customs of China registered three Russian enterprises producing pork and allowed export of pork products from Russia to China starting February 28, 2024," the statement reads.

The watchdog said earlier that it expected registration of Russian pork enterprises for supply of pork to China after the Chinese New Year.

The Russian regulator said in September 2023 that the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China had authorized pork supplies from Russia. The decision was made based on the results of a risk assessment and analysis of the state control system for African swine fever (ASF) in Russia.
