Russian economic growth was 3.6% in 2023, Putin says

Leader of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also pointed to Russian economic success at the meeting with the Russian President

KAZAN, February 21. /TASS/. The Russian economy gained 3.6% over year, President Vladimir Putin said.

Leader of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pointed to Russian economic success at the meeting with the Russian President. "The Russian economy, despite very complex conditions, achieved great success. Three and a half percent [of growth] is an impressive result," Tokayev said.

"3.6%," Putin noted smiling. "Good, 3.6%," Tokayev responded laughing.

The two leaders met in Kazan, where the 2024 Games of the Future opened today.
