Russian-Indian trade turnover on the rise, Putin says

"Certainly, these are energy commodities - oil, petroleum products and coal in the first instance, but not only these ones; we are also working in high technology areas," the Russian president noted

MOSCOW, December 27. /TASS/. The trade turnover between Russia and India is growing, particularly on account of crude oil and high technology areas, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the meeting with India’s Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

"Our trade turnover is growing, for the second year in a row at the same time and at a steady pace. The growth rate this year is even higher than in the last year," the head of state said.

"We surpassed the whole volume [of trade turnover growth] of the last year during nine months of this year. Certainly, these are energy commodities - oil, petroleum products and coal in the first instance, but not only these ones; we are also working in high technology areas," Putin added.
