MOSCOW, December 22. /TASS/. The investment block of the Moscow region is working with Chinese companies on the possibility of implementing automotive projects in the Russian region, deputy chairman of the Moscow region, Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow region Ekaterina Zinovieva said in an interview with TASS.
"There are also a number of projects with automakers in the works - we considered all of them in detail during our trip with the governor of the Moscow region to China. There were meetings with three large Chinese companies at once. We visited the enterprises. What we saw is impressive: China has really taken a big step forward in terms of "development of the automotive industry, especially with regard to electric cars. Some factories are capable of producing up to one car per minute. We talked with everyone about possible directions for further work. Naturally, we studied each other through the prism of investment prospects," Zinovieva said.
The deputy chairman noted that at present it is premature to disclose the details of possible cooperation.
Zinovieva also said that, the Chinese company Huajing - one of the world leaders in the production of axle units for trailed equipment - is implementing an investment project in the Esipovo industrial park. Investments in the first stage of the project are estimated at 5 billion rubles ($54 mln).
A delegation from the Moscow region, with the participation of Moscow region governor Andrey Vorobyov, visited China in October of this year. During the visit, the Chinese side presented the production of Changan Automobile Group. Then the regional governor expressed interest in the ideas and technologies of representatives of the Chinese automotive industry and invited company representatives to visit the Moscow region.
