ABU DHABI, December 6. /TASS/. The United Arab Emirates are interacting with Russia at various international platforms, President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said during talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

"The Emirates and Russia are keeping the proactive interaction at various international floors. For example, we are cooperating within the framework of BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, where the Emirates received the status of the partner in dialog in this May, the UAE President said.

The countries are also discussing current issues of the regional agenda within the framework of the strategic dialog between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council - a special international format initiated in 2016, he noted.
