Russia’s LNG imports to Georgia up 43.1% in January-October

TBILISI, November 14. /TASS/. Russia’s LNG supplies to Georgia rose by 43.1% in January-October 2023 year-on-year, the Union of Oil Products Importers of Georgia reported.

"In the period from January to October 2023 imports of liquefied gas from Russia to Georgia totaled 47,800 tons, which is 14,400 tons, or 43.1%, higher than in the same period last year," the report said. Supplies from Russia accounted for 99.6% of all LNG imports.

Meanwhile, oil bitumen imports slipped by 0.2% in the first ten months of 2023 year-on-year to 90,600 tons, according to the Union. The highest portion of bitumen was supplied from Russia (46.8%). Iraq came in second (36.2%), followed by Turkey (14.7%), and Azerbaijan (2%).
