Currency sales by top exporters growing to $12.5 bln in October

Ruble strengthening was also promoted by key rate lifting to 15% per annum

MOSCOW, November 9. /TASS/. Net sales of foreign currency by the largest Russian exporters surged from $9.2 bln in September to $12.5 bln in October, the Central Bank said.

"Reinforcement of national currency was facilitated by the increase in net sales of currency revenues by exporters in October. Net sales of foreign currency by major exporters moved up in October to $12.5 bln against $9.2 bln in September and $7.2 bln in August, while the bulk of sales fell on the second half of the month," the regulator said.

Ruble strengthening was also promoted by key rate lifting to 15% per annum, the Central Bank added.
