MOSCOW, November 9. /TASS/. Russia has a total area of about 103,000 hectares of vineyards this year, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev said at the Second Russian Winemaking Forum.
"Taking into account the reclamation of old plantations, considering refurbishing, considering new planting, we anticipate bringing the total area to 103,000 hectares," Patrushev said.
Vineyards made up over 100,000 hectares of land last year, he noted.
"We plan to create over 5,000 more hectares of new vineyards this year," the minister added.
