Sanya's Science City in Hainan establishes institution to support investors

The new entity is expected to improve the business environment and conditions for international trade

HAIKOU /China/, April 10. /TASS/. The Yazhouwan Innovation Development Zone in the city of Sanya in Hainan set up a vehicle to provide support and advisory services to investment and trade companies. This was reported by the Hainan Daily newspaper.

According to the newspaper, the institution is called the Trade and Investment Service Window. First of all, it will help enterprises registered in the Yazhou Bay Science & Technology City, with the registration of customs procedures, as well as provide guidance on passing state inspections.

It is assumed that the new structure will improve the business environment and conditions for international trade. "Measures for optimization of cross-border goods turnover will be worked out with the support of many departments," said the Directorate of Innovative Development Zone.

The authorities plan to "effectively use the levers to stimulate markets, promote intensive development of innovation and industry chains." Strengthening legal mechanisms, promoting internationalization of Yazhouwan and creating an ideal atmosphere for business in the science city are among the set objectives.

Yazhouwan is located on the coast of the South China Sea and is among the key innovative development projects of Hainan's free trade port. The area allocated for science-intensive enterprises and other infrastructure facilities exceeds 26 square kilometers. The Yazhou Bay Science & Technology City is home to China's leading selective breeding laboratories and a deep-sea research center.
