Gold price in Japan hits all-time high for second consecutive day

Tanaka Kikinzoku set the retail price of $71.37

TOKYO, April 12. /TASS/. The price of gold in Japan has hit an all-time high for the second consecutive day amid investors’ interest in the asset and the weakening of the national currency’s exchange rate, according to data released by traders and trading data on Wednesday.

Tanaka Kikinzoku, one of the country’s largest producers and sellers of precious metals, set the retail price of 9,535 yen ($71.37 at the current exchange rate) on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the cost of gold futures on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange was around 8,609 yen ($64.44) on Tuesday.
