Economic activity in Russia expected to continue growing — Putin

Railway shipments are growing and this indicator was about 2% in March and 3.6% in early April, the head of state said

NOVO-OGARYOVO, April 11. /TASS/. The economic activity in Russia will continue growing, President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday.

Railway shipments are growing and this indicator was about 2% in March and 3.6% in early April, the head of state said. "Grounds are in place to believe that the economic activity will grow further on," the President noted.

"This is highlighted by such important parameter as the index of business activity" that reached 56.8 points in March, Putin said. "This is the third [highest] value throughout its history and directly speaks of growing optimism of the domestic business, [and] its positive sentiment," Putin added.
