It’s up to Europe to decide on Russia’s participation in Nord Stream blast probe — Nuland

US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs said her country had nothing to do with the case or the incidents themselves

MOSCOW, February 23. /TASS/. European countries, which have a piece in the Nord Stream pipelines, should take a decision on allowing Russia to participate in the investigation into the blasts, while the US is not related to this case and the incidents, US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland said in an interview with TASS.

"It's not our choice. It's the choice of the countries that have a piece of this pipeline. So, it is their decision whether or not Russia, should participate, not ours," the diplomat said.

Nuland noted that there's an investigation underway "by the parties, the countries that surround that piece." "We will know when that investigation is complete but I want to say definitively here that the United States had nothing to do with this explosion, zero," she stressed.
