"There is a need to not merely trace these factors, forecast their changes, but, most importantly, to use opening opportunities for development of domestic production, trade ties and exports, and for strengthening of the domestic economy at large, so that to achieve progressive, dynamic moving forward in any external conditions," the head of state said.

Growth of the national GDP totaled 1.9% annually in January-February 2025, the Russian leader continued.

"GDP growth totaled 1.9% on an annualized basis in January-February. The processing industry is growing more actively at the same time - plus 5% over the first two months of this year," the Russian leader said.

Growth of the national GDP will be slightly lower this year than, he noted. "The dynamics of the gross domestic product will be slightly lower in this year than in the last one. Properly speaking, we have talked about that, we sought after that.
