Russia’s steel production down 7.2% in 2022 to 71.5 mln tons — WSA

Russia’s steel production in December 2022 amounted to 5.5 mln tons, down by 11.3% year-on-year

MOSCOW, January 31. /TASS/. Steel production in Russia declined by 7.2% in 2022 compared with the previous year to 71.5 mln tons, the World Steel Association (WSA) said on Tuesday.

All in all, the countries reporting produced 1.879 bln tons of steel last year, a 4.2% decrease compared with 2021, according to the association.
