Russian supplies of agriculture products, fertilizers to China rising, says envoy

The authorities of Russia and China have set a task of bringing bilateral trade volumes to $200 bln per year

BEIJING, November 17. /TASS/. Russian supplies of agriculture, pulp-and-paper products and fertilizers to China have been rising this year, Russian Ambassador to Beijing Igor Morgulov told Russian journalists on Thursday.

"Apart from traditional items of Russian exports to the People’s Republic of China, such as energy resources, agriculture and pulp-and-paper products, as well as fertilizers, have been demonstrating solid growth this year," he said. "The assortment of Chinese sales to Russia is also quite diversified, with positive dynamics registered in supplies of products of the chemical industry and transport vehicles," the diplomat added.

The authorities of Russia and China have set a task of bringing bilateral trade volumes to $200 bln per year. In 2020, trade turnover between the two countries lost 2.9% due to the pandemic (to $107.76 bln), whereas last year it rose by 35.8% to record $146.88 bln.
