Severnaya Verf Shipyard currently building 20 ships — CEO

ST. PETERSBURG, November 14. /TASS/. The Severnaya Verf shipyard is currently building twenty ships and vessels at the same time, CEO Igor Orlov told TASS on Monday.

"We have a huge portfolio of orders; we did not have such a portfolio for such a class of ships earlier. According to our calculations, twenty ships are currently under construction at different stages, including nine warships and eleven civilian vessels," Orlov said.

"And in terms of class and level of complexity, both these and other ships are among the best in the world," the top manager said. "These are our frigates, our corvettes, trawlers and long-liners. All of them are a shipbuilder’s vision of the future. Development does not stop, it always continues progressing," Orlov added.
