No problems with funds withdrawal for Russians — Binance crypto exchange

On October 6, the European Union introduced new restrictive measures against Russia

MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Binance has not yet received an official confirmation for sanctions against crypto-assets of Russian nationals, the crypto exchange’s support service told a TASS reporter.

"This piece of information [about sanctions - TASS] has not been formally acknowledged on the platform and no new developments and restrictions are in place. You are able to withdraw funds," the support service said.

On October 6, the European Union introduced new restrictive measures against Russia. European companies are now banned from opening crypto-accounts and crypto-wallets to Russians and cannot provide cryptocurrency keeping services. New sanctions toughen already existing restrictions for crypto assets of Russian nationals effective since April (Russians were banned from having more than 10,000 euro at European crypto-accounts and in crypto-wallets at that time).
