ST. PETERSBURG, June 15. /TASS/. Power Machines plans to achieve production of eight GTE-170 gas turbines per year by late 2024 - early 2025, CEO of the Russian machine-building company Alexander Konyukhov told reporters.
"We intend to achieve the capacity of eight turbines per year by late 2024 - start of 2025," the top manager said.
The company needs to produce 32 GTE-170 gas turbines for the payback, Konyukhov noted.
"According to our estimates, 32 turbines should be produced for the payback on investments made by Power Machines," the chief executive said.
Russia has no indigenous technology of heavy-duty gas turbines but participation in the program for heating facilities upgrade anticipates the use of localized equipment only. Power Machines intend to present the prototype specimen of the company’s GTE-170 gas turbine in 2022.
