MOSCOW, June 7. /TASS/. The first 15 outlets of the new McDonald's will open in Moscow and the Moscow region on June 12, the company said in a statement.
"The first 15 outlets will begin to receive guests in Moscow and the Moscow region on June 12. In the near future, opening of other outlets throughout Russia will follow," the statement says.
First 12 outlets will open in Moscow and another three will start working in the regional towns of Odintsovo, Reutov and Khimki, the press service of the company told TASS.
The dates and times of the opening of enterprises in other regions, as well as the new name and plans for the future will be announced later.
McDonald's suspended operation of all 850 of its restaurants in Russia on March 14, shortly after the start of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine. On May 16, the company, whose share in the catering market reached 7%, announced its withdrawal from Russia. Through the mediation of the Industry and Trade Ministry the corporation sold its business to its licensee Alexander Govor. The chain will operate under a new brand and with new menu names, and all employees will retain jobs "under equivalent terms" for at least two years.
