Unemployment in Russia hits all-time lows, says Putin

It is necessary to keep controlling the situation, the Russian President underscored

NOVO-OGARYOVO, June 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated low unemployment in the country.

"I should note low unemployment in Russia. It hit all-time lows in April, whereas in May the number of officially registered unemployed did not rise, as well as even decreased slightly as the level of unemployment amounted to 4% in April, hitting the lowest level since records started," he said at a meeting on economic issues on Tuesday.

"This is a serious achievement in today’s environment," Putin said, adding though that it is necessary "to keep controlling the situation, considering the fact that the risks on the labor market still persist, of course".
