Gas from Russia supplied to Hungary as per schedule, says minister

The suspension of gas supplies to Bulgaria does not mean halted transit through Bulgaria

VIENNA, April 27. /TASS/. Russian gas continues being supplied to Hungary as per schedule despite the suspension of deliveries to Bulgaria, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto said in a video address posted on Facebook (banned in the Russian Federation; owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia) on Wednesday.

"The suspension of gas supplies to Bulgaria does not mean halted transit through Bulgaria. Natural gas is being supplied to Hungary in accordance with [the terms] of the contract and schedule," he said.

The Bulgarian Energy Ministry said on Tuesday that Gazprom Export had submitted an official notification on suspension of gas supplies to Bulgaria starting April 27.
