Authorities to continue working on preferential air services for Russia’s Far East - Putin

Putin stressed that the government is constantly focusing on benefits for air travel for residents of the Far East

NOVO-OGARYOVO, February 2. /TASS/. President Vladimir Putin promised that the country's authorities will continue working on preferential air services for residents of Russia’s Far East.

"You know that we previously made decisions regarding certain age groups, certain cities. We will work on expansion. I promise you, we will not drop this, we will continue to move in this direction," he said at a meeting with the laureates of the Teacher of the Year competition on Tuesday.

Putin stressed that the government is constantly focusing on benefits for air travel for residents of the Far East.

"This is not only an economic issue, but also the matter of the country’s unity, mobility of people residing in the Far East. We will continue to look for ways to ensure this connectivity of our vast territory," he said. According to the President, the simplest solution is to increase subsidies for these transportations.
