Russia to create preferential conditions for companies’ work in the Arctic, says Putin

The president stressed the importance of investing into technologies that will provide a 100% guarantee for nature conservation

ST. PETERSBURG, April 9. /TASS/. Russia will establish preferential conditions for operations of companies in the Arctic Region, President Vladimir Putin said at the Arctic Forum on Tuesday.

"We contemplate creating, establish and will establish preferential conditions for companies working in the challenging Arctic environment. This not merely related to a shortage of infrastructure development but also to the need of investing money into technologies that will provide a 100% guarantee for nature conservation. It is very delicate in the Arctic Region," the President said.
