Yastreb mobile anti-UAV system debuted at exhibition in Moscow

The company representative said that the anti-drone system is expected to be deployed in the special military operation zone soon

MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. The Yastreb mobile system for detecting and neutralizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has been showcased at the Security Space exhibition in Moscow, a spokesman for K-Avia told TASS.

"Upon entering the operational range of a particular sensor, an enemy aerial vehicle is detected and identified. The crew comprises two people: a detection operator and a UAV interceptor operator. The detection operator spots and identifies the target, determines whether to engage it, and issues a command to the UAV interceptor operator. The UAV interceptor operator presses a button, the launch box opens, and our missile comes out <...> to pursue and hit the enemy drone. <...> The combat ammunition load comprises nine rounds. They can be fired from a launch box, whether positioned on the ground or mounted on a vehicle," he said.

The company representative also said that the anti-drone system is expected to be deployed in the special military operation zone soon. "We have completed testing. Our tests have been approved <...>, the test reports gave the system a positive assessment, and it has been recommended for use."

According to him, the system’s main advantage lies in its ability to detect all types of drones. The company noted that the system can operate at any time of day. "The system also features the proprietary Domovoy software, which forms part of the control subsystem," K-Avia said.

The international exhibition Security Space: Systems, Technologies, Solutions is being held from October 21 to 23 at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre (VDNKh), Pavilion No. 20. It is a key platform for networking and presenting solutions in commercial and infrastructure security.
