Kalashnikov to display its newest assault rifles in Azerbaijan for first time

The Kalashnikov Group will present its 5.45mm assault rifles - the shortened AK-12 and small-size AK-12SK and the 7.62mm shortened AK-15K and small-size AK-15SK rifles

MOSCOW, September 25. /TASS/. Russia’s Kalashnikov Group will for the first time showcase its newest AK assault rifles and Kub strike munitions at the ADEX exhibition in Azerbaijan, the company’s press service told TASS.

"The Kalashnikov Group will for the first time present its 5.45mm assault rifles - the shortened AK-12 and small-size AK-12SK and the 7.62mm shortened AK-15K and small-size AK-15SK rifles at the 6th ADEX 2026 International Defense Exhibition that will be held from September 30 to October 2, 2026 in Baku," the statement says. The Kub range of guided loitering munitions that have proven their effectiveness in the special military operation zone - the Kub-2-E and Kub-10E, as well as the newest KUB-10ME, will also be displayed in the country for the first time.

Among the traditional small arms on display, Kalashnikov will showcase the 7.62mm AK assault rifles of the 200th series, the 7.62mm Chukavin sniper rifle, 9mm Kalashnikov machinegun pistol, 9mm Lebedev pistols and Yarygin pistol.

In the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) segment, the company will present, in addition to the Kub munitions, the Rus-PE man-portable reconnaissance and strike system with guided munitions, and the Skat-350 M civilian-purpose UAV.

The Triada-TKO company will also for the first time display at the ADEX exhibition the Military Special (MS) series tactical gear (an analogue of the VKPO 3.0 field uniform set) and the MRS 1.0 modular webgear with all additional modules, which served as a basis for the development of the Strtelok fighting gear set. MS is a commercial version of the VKPO 3.0, and MRS 1.0 is a modern multifunctional set of fighting gear and body armor.

The Research Institute of Steel (Kalashnikov Group) will showcase modern ERA blocks.
