LUGANSK, September 21. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army lost almost 9,300 troops, including foreign mercenaries, who were killed or wounded in the special military operation zone over the past week, military expert Andrey Marochko reported.
Russia’s Battlegroup Center caused the heaviest personnel losses among Ukrainian formations, he said.
"The enemy’s medical and irreplaceable losses totaled about 9,325 Ukrainian fighters and mercenaries. The heaviest manpower losses were inflicted on Ukrainian armed formations in the area of responsibility of the Battlegroup Center, which operates in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Dnepropetrovsk Region," he wrote on his VKontakte social media page after analyzing data released by the Russian Defense Ministry.
Marochko added that over the past week, the Russian military also destroyed 5,700 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 16 marine vessels, 35 field artillery weapons, 25 electronic warfare and counter-battery stations, as well as more than 600 various enemy combat vehicles.
