Russian Air Force aircraft fleet almost 100% modernized — commander

MOSCOW, August 12. /TASS/. The Russian Air Force’s fleet has been almost 100% updated with advanced aircraft and helicopters featuring new high-precision extended-range weapons, Air Force Commander, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces Sergey Kobylash stated.

"The fleet of combat aircraft has been almost 100 percent modernized with state-of-the-art aircraft and helicopters, and we have mastered the use of a wide range of new precision and extended-range aircraft weapons," he said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper on the occasion of the 114th anniversary of the country’s Air Force.

Kobylash added that since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, the Russian Air Force has "achieved impressive results in engaging both ground and air targets, including unmanned aerial vehicles."
