Russia develops Viverna-Kogot UAV interceptor with speeds of up to 300 km/h

The device is capable of effectively intercepting kamikaze drones and fixed-wing drones at altitudes of up to 3 km

MOSCOW, July 28. /TASS/. Russian specialists have created a new high-speed interceptor drone, the Viverna-Kogot, capable of reaching speeds of up to 300 km/h, the Valkiriya (Valkyrie) Experimental Design bureau told TASS.

"The new Vivern-Kogot interceptor is our experimental high-speed platform with machine vision. The device is designed in two versions - kinetic and strike - with a 0.5 kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead. The estimated speed of the device is up to 300 km/h. The drone is equipped with a target acquisition system based on a neural network. The drone is currently being finalized, and its testing will follow, after which it is planned to launch mass production of the Vivern-Kogot drone," the company said.

It specified that the device is capable of effectively intercepting kamikaze drones and fixed-wing drones at altitudes of up to 3 km.
