World headed towards new security system involving Global South, East — FSB chief

Meanwhile, Alexander Bortnikov said that the US-led collective West can counter these processes only through "attempts to fuel global tensions" in a bid to preserve its dominance and continue its predatory colonial policy

MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. The world is headed toward the creation of a new international security system that will include the countries of the Global South and East, Alexander Bortnikov, head of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), said at the 20th meeting of the heads of security and intelligence agencies of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries in Moscow.

"Today’s meeting is taking place amid a fundamental reconstruction of the world order. The recent BRICS summit in Kazan made this clear once again. A multipolar political and economic space is being formed, and a new, ‘inclusive’ system of international security is being created that involves the countries of the Global South and East," the FSB chief emphasized.

Meanwhile, in Bortnikov’s words, the US-led collective West can counter these processes only through "attempts to fuel global tensions" in a bid to preserve its dominance and continue its predatory colonial policy.
