MOSCOW, April 9. /TASS/. Russia’s state system as well as its economy and values are currently undergoing a stress test by facing challenges coming from the West, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev said at a meeting of the council’s research board.

"Not only the special military operation became a serious test for Russia in the sphere of military construction," Patrushev noted talking about the challenges coming from Western countries which cannot come to terms with a strong and independent Russia and aspire to defeat it strategically.

"Our economy, political system, and, of course, our moral and spiritual values are undergoing a stress test," the security official asserted.
