BELGOROD, March 12. /TASS/. There are no Ukrainian armed forces in the Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote on his Telegram channel.
"We are faced with a huge amount of falsehoods from our enemy. In this regard, I want to say that there is no enemy on the territory of the Belgorod Region settlements," he wrote.
Earlier, Gladkov said media space had become more aggressive from the Ukrainian side and urged people not to trust falsehoods. The region's ministry of digital development and mass media noted that a number of electronic services of the Belgorod Region government had come under cyberattacks, including the electronic document management service, in which a fake message appeared on behalf of the governor. In turn, the transport ministry of the Belgorod region urged not to react to fake news about road closures due to an alleged emergency situation. Fake news were also circulated in the Valuysk urban district, where reports about a plane crash were refuted. A mass malicious mailing asking to download a file and check the computer for the consequences of a cyberattack was also recorded there.
Situation in the borderline region
On Tuesday morning, units of the Russian Armed Forces together with the border service of the Russian Federal Security Service foiled an attempt by the Kiev regime to break into the Belgorod and Kursk regions. The Russian Defense Ministry said that around 3:00 a.m. Moscow time (12:00 a.m. GMT), following intensive shelling of civil facilities, Ukrainian terrorist units supported by tanks and armored combat vehicles made an attempt of incursion into Russia in three areas: from the direction of Odnorobovka settlement in the Kharkov Region, as well as in the areas of the settlements of Nekhoteyevka and Spodaryushino in the Belgorod Region. All attacks by Ukrainian terrorist units were repelled.
