MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. The Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 250 military personnel killed and wounded in the Donetsk direction, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

"In the Donetsk direction, units of the South Group of Forces, supported by artillery fire and heavy flamethrower systems, repelled four attacks by assault groups of the 24th mechanized, 5th assault, and 79th airborne assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of the settlements of Krasnoye, Kirovo, and Maryinka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. In addition, aviation and artillery strikes defeated the personnel and equipment of the 30th, 67th mechanized, 57th motorized infantry, 3rd assault, 79th air assault brigades, and the 112th armored brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the settlements Veseloe, Artemovskoe, Krasnoe, Kleshcheevka, Kurdyumovka, and Andreevka in the Donetsk People's Republic," the stamenet said.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the enemy lost up to 250 military personnel killed and wounded, a tank, three armored combat vehicles and five cars. At the same time, during the counter-battery fight, the M777 artillery system and the US-made M119 gun, as well as the Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount, were hit.

Units of the Russian group of troops, with the support of aviation and artillery, hit the manpower and equipment of three brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye direction, the losses of the Ukrainian troops amounted to up to 50 military personnel.

"In the Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian group of troops, with the support of aviation and artillery, defeated the manpower and equipment of the 65th, 33rd mechanized, and 128th mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Rabotino and Pyatikhatki, Zaporozhye region. Enemy losses amounted to up to 50 servicemen killed and wounded, a tank and three cars," the statement said.
