Russian peacekeepers report ceasefire violation in Shusha area

The command of the Russian peacekeeping group is probing into the incident

MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Russian peacekeepers have recorded violations of the ceasefire in the Shusha district in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict area, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday in a news bulletin on the activity of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh.

"The Russian peacekeeping contingent continue to carry out tasks in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian peacekeepers are monitoring the situation and controlling compliance with the ceasefire round the clock at 30 observation posts. There was a ceasefire violation in the Shusha district," the bulletin said.

The command of the Russian peacekeeping group is probing into the incident. Patrols were conducted along three routes in the Martuni, Mardakert and Shusha areas. A humanitarian motor convoy was escorted from Goris to Stepanakert.
