MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Russian forces killed up to 50 Ukrainian troops on the South Donetsk and Zaporozhye frontlines in the past day, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said at a briefing on Saturday.

According to him, aircraft and artillery units of the Battlegroup East hit enemy forces near Ugledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic, and Marfopol and Dorozhnyanka in the Zaporozhye Region.

"The enemy lost up to 50 troops, as well as two armored combat vehicles, three motor vehicles and a D-20 howitzer," the general said.
