Moldovan border guards find missile fragments in country’s north — Interior Ministry

This is the fourth incident in which a missile or its debris land in the territory of the republic since the start of combat actions in Ukraine

CHISINAU, February 16. /TASS/. Moldovan border guards have found fragments of a missile that came down in the north of the republic, the press service of the country's Interior Ministry reported on Thursday.

"A border police patrol found fragments of a missile in the sector of the Larga border point (Briceni District)," the report said.

This is the fourth incident in which a missile or its debris land in the territory of the republic since the start of combat actions in Ukraine. According to the Moldovan Interior Ministry, the debris found earlier were projectiles coming from the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system.

After one such incident when projectile fragments fell in Moldova’s Naslavcea settlement, a protest was expressed to Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov and an employee of the diplomatic mission was expelled later.
