Russia delivering S-400s to India within stipulated dates, says developer

The contract to supply five batches of S-400 systems worth $5.43 billion was signed during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to India in October 2018

BANGALORE /India/, February 14. /TASS/. Deliveries of Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems to India are being carried out in accordance with the terms stipulated in the contract, Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheev told TASS at the Aero India 2023.

"Rosoboronexport is fulfilling the contract within the stipulated dates," Mikheev said when asked when the next batch of S-400s is expected to be delivered to India.

In 2015, India announced its intention to purchase Russia’s S-400s. The contract to supply five batches of S-400 systems worth $5.43 billion was signed during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to India in October 2018.

Bangalore is playing host to the 14th Aero India 2023 international air show on 13-17 February. Russia has traditionally been an active participant in the air show, which is held once every two years. This year’s event will showcase more than 200 different products manufactured by the Russian defense industry.
