Krasny Liman will be liberated from Ukrainian military, DPR head vows

It was noted that the Russian troops had killed over 200 Ukrainian militants in that area but the enemy introduced reserves and went ahead with its offensive, having a considerable preponderance in manpower and military equipment

MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. The town of Krasny Liman in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) will be liberated from the Ukrainian military, acting DPR Head Denis Pushilin said on Wednesday.

"We will liberate Krasny Liman and we will undoubtedly liberate the entire territory of the republic," he said in a live broadcast on the Soloviev Live TV Channel.

Pushilin emphasized the heroism of servicemen fighting in the Krasny Liman area, saying that "they were ready to fight to the end there," had they not received a command to retreat.

Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on October 1 that the troops had withdrawn from the settlement of Krasny Liman in the Donetsk People’s Republic due to a threat of encirclement and moved to more advantageous frontiers.

He also said that the Russian troops had killed over 200 Ukrainian militants in that area but the enemy introduced reserves and went ahead with its offensive, having a considerable preponderance in manpower and military equipment.
