Russian Navy removes mine danger in Mariupol port waters — Defense Ministry

At the moment, civilian ships can use the port of Mariupol safely

MOSCOW, May 26. /TASS/. Russian Navy specialists removed mine danger in Mariupol port waters, Russian National Defense Control Center head Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev said Thursday.

"A complex of measures undertaken by the Russian Navy resulted in elimination of mine danger in the port of Mariupol; civilian ships can use it safely now," he said.

According to Mizintsev, at 08:00 Moscow time on May 25, Russian Armed Forces opened a round-the-clock humanitarian corridor in the Sea of Azov, 115 miles long and 2 miles wide. Coordinates of assembly point are: 46°55"N, 37°29"E, coordinates of disbandment point are: 45°08"N, 36°31"E.
