Russian Buk-M2, Tor-2M anti-aircraft missile systems destroy over 40 targets in Ukraine

During this month, Buk-M2 and Tor-2M air defense systems shot down 16 adversary targets

MOSCOW, May 4. /TASS/. Buk-M2 and Tor-2M battlefield air defense systems eliminated over 40 targets in Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement released on Wednesday.

Russia’s Defense Ministry posted a clip showing Buk-M2 and Tor-2M anti-aircraft missile systems at work.

"An operator of a camouflaged command post of surface-to-air missile systems needs just a second to identify a ‘friend’ or a ‘foe’ and they can simultaneously track up to 900 targets in the selected airspace. The systems can detect targets at a range of up to 100 km. The system automatically identifies an enemy and gives a command to firing positions. These units alone have destroyed more than 40 targets over the period of the special operation," the ministry said.

During this month, Buk-M2 and Tor-2M air defense systems shot down 16 adversary targets, the ministry added.
