Many foreign mercenaries staying in Mariupol’s occupied parts — Russian defense ministry

Along with Ukrainian and Russian, six more, mostly European languages are used, Igor Konashenkov noted

MOSCOW, April 8. /TASS/. Intercepted radio traffic from Mariupol indicate that there are a lot of foreign mercenaries speaking mostly European languages in the occupied parts of the city, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Friday.

"The forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Russian army units continue their joint operation to liberate the city of Mariupol. According to intercepted radio traffic along with Nazis from the Azov battalion and Ukrainian regular troop, there are a lot of foreign mercenaries in the occupied parts of the city. Along with Ukrainian and Russian, six more, mostly European languages are used," he said.

"Not defenders of the so-called European values but foreign mercenaries, who came here to kill the Slavs for American dollars hiding behind a human shield of civilians" are now blocked in the city, Konashenkov noted.

He recalled that the Kiev nationalist regime refused to withdraw militants from Mariupol. "The city will inevitably be liberated by DPR troops and Russian army units," he added.
