Poland says not planning to send US-supplied Apache helicopters to Ukraine

According to Jacek Siewiera, "today, the Apache would not bring the desired results in Ukraine as there is no opportunity [for Ukraine] to achieve superiority in the air"

MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. Poland does not plan to send US-supplied Apache AH-64 attack helicopters to Ukraine in the future, Jacek Siewiera, head of the Polish National Security Bureau, told TVN24 in an interview.

"Poland will buy the weapons, including Apache helicopters which were discussed during the Washington visit by President [Andrzej Duda] and Prime Minister [Donald Tusk], for itself, as we need these weapons," the politician said. However, he doesn’t see any chance of Warsaw agreeing to send them to Ukraine, he added.

According to Siewiera, "today, the Apache would not bring the desired results in Ukraine as there is no opportunity [for Ukraine] to achieve superiority in the air."
