MOSCOW, January 9. /TASS/. The percentage of Ukrainian citizens who do not trust the nation's former President Pyotr Poroshenko is 75.7%, with an additional 84.1% expressing distrust in former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, according to a sociological survey conducted by the Ukrainian Active Group company.
According to the poll, 17.9% of Ukrainians trust Poroshenko, who heads the European Solidarity party, while the leader of the Batkivshchyna (Fatherland) party, Tymoshenko, is only trusted by 7.5% of Ukrainians.
Among Ukrainian politicians, incumbent President Vladimir Zelensky is the most trusted: 71.3% of the country's citizens support him, while 22.4% of respondents disapprove of his job as president.
Almost 50% of the polled Ukrainians consider Poroshenko's activities to be extremely harmful to the country, while another 22.5% describe them as rather harmful. The public’s opinion regarding Tymoshenko's body of work is also negative: 34.7% consider it very harmful, while 29.4% consider it rather harmful.
Meanwhile, the survey found that the former president and prime minister do less to help Ukraine than other politicians with about 47% of citizens being of this opinion.
The survey was conducted by Active Group on December 30, 2023. The sample was representative of all ages, genders and regions of Ukraine. Two thousand Ukrainians aged 18 years and older participated in the survey. The theoretical margin of error does not exceed 2.2%.
