DUBAI, December 27. /TASS/. Over the past day, Israeli airstrikes resulted in the death of four Palestinians in the embattled Gaza Strip, while several others sustained injuries in various areas of Gaza, Palestinian news agency WAFA reports.

Israeli aircraft conducted intensive airstrikes on areas east of Khan Yunis and the Nuseirat refugee camp in the southern section of the enclave, the agency notes.

WAFA also states, citing medical sources, that yesterday "dozens of citizens, mainly children and women, were killed and injured during Israeli raids" in the Gaza Strip.

Since the latest outbreak of violence in the long-simmering Israeli-Palestinian conflict on October 7, the Gaza Strip has witnessed the deaths of approximately 21,000 people and injuries to around 54,000 due to the ongoing aggression unleashed by Israeli forces.
