US, other countries examine several initiatives to release hostages held by Hamas

WASHINGTON, December 15. /TASS/. The United States, Israel and a number of other countries are currently considering a number of initiatives aimed at releasing hostages held by the radical Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, a high-ranking US administration official said.

"We're working on a number of initiatives to get this back on track. But I just can't speak with any detail about those now," the official said during an online briefing on US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s visit to Israel.
