MINSK, December 14. /TASS/. Belarus and Russia have detained about 20 groups plotting terror attacks in both countries, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.
"Together with Russia, we have already detained probably about two dozen groups of terrorists who were aspiring, above all, to carry out terror attacks on Russian and Belarusian soil," he said at a meeting of CIS security agencies in Minsk.
Lukashenko stressed that he was not exaggerating but, on the contrary, could not disclose all available information. He noted that the country’s security structures had been registering "very serious activity [by foreign intelligence] on Belarusian soil."
"I am openly stating: we cannot allow this and we and our allies will adhere to this policy track," the Belarusian leader said.
