DUBAI, November 11. /TASS/. The countries of the League of Arab States (LAS) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have called for the release of all people taken hostage or detained as a result of further escalation of the Middle East conflict, according to the final statement following the joint summit of the two organizations.

"We reaffirm the need for the release of all prisoners, detainees and civilians and condemn the crimes committed by Israel against thousands of Palestinian prisoners. We call on the international community and relevant international organizations to exert pressure [on Israel] to stop these crimes and condemn those who committed them," the statement said.

"We also call for an end to the killings by the occupation army (the Israel Defense Forces - TASS), terrorist actions by Jewish settlers, as well as all attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and all Islamic and Christian holy sites. <...> We appeal to the international community to include radical Jewish groups in the lists of terrorist organizations," the document added.
