Bure says Russian hockey players retain ties with foreign players

"Human relations haven't gone anywhere, the connections are still there," the special representative of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation for international affairs added

MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. Russian hockey players maintain friendly relationships with players from abroad, Pavel Bure, special representative of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation for international affairs and member of the International Ice Hockey Federation Council, told TASS.

As a player, Bure played in the National Hockey League, where he reached the Stanley Cup finals and led the league in scoring.

"It's harder for me to communicate with foreigners, because I don't travel abroad much now. We talk to each other when it's a birthday or something like that," Bure said. "Human relations haven't gone anywhere, the connections are still there. It's just that we used to do a lot of charity matches here in Russia, inviting stars from the National Hockey League. We celebrated the 40th anniversary of the 1972 Summit Series. We brought over everyone who was still alive from all those who played."
