MOSCOW, December 27. /TASS/. Natalya Virtuozova, Director General of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia" Natalya Virtuozova has launched the countdown to the New Year at the VDNKh exhibition center during the ceremony of switching on the lights on the main Christmas tree, the directorate told reporters.

"This 20-meter beauty was brought from the Kaluga Region. We decorated the tree altogether, the whole country - all 89 regions of Russia were involved. Each region made a toy that symbolizes their area. We are all united, we all love our homeland very much," Virtuozova said.

On December 1, 89 fir trees symbolizing the country's regions were lit up on the VDNKh site.

The "Russia" International Exhibition and Forum takes place from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024 at VDNKh in Moscow. It was organized to demonstrate the country’s significant achievements in various economic sectors, and all 89 Russian regions are present with expositions.
